Adaptive Athletics Team Travel

Funder: Craig H Neilsen Foundation

Funding period
USD 30 K
Funding amount
Abstract
The University of Arizona Adaptive Athletics is excited to apply for this grant once again. Funds will be used for travel expenses for our six adaptive sports teams : Men's and Women's Basketball, Track, Handcycling, Tennis, and Rugby. More than half of our athletes are SCI. We hope to provide the best athletic experience for them. This includes going to competitive tournaments allowing them to be their best. Our goal is to have every athlete attend nationals. Previous years we cap the number of traveling athletes. We also hope this funding will allow each team to pick up a new tournament out of the state. (CHN: COandI chn:wdg)
